EPCOT’s Mickey & Minnie Meet and Greet Spot Has Been Temporarily Relocated
Mickey and Minnie Mouse are holding court in the Imagination! pavilion after technical difficulties closed their usual home in CommuniCore Hall.
As most of you know, Mickey and Minnie have met guests at EPCOT in a set location for decades. Prior to the park’s overhaul, that location was Innoventions.
When the former EPCOT pavilion was demolished as part of the park’s transformation, Mickey and Minnie temporarily set up shop in the Imagination pavilion’s Magic Eye Theater.
Following the opening of CommuniCore Hall, which includes a permanent meet-and-greet location, Mickey and Minnie moved back to the front of the park.
Air Conditioning Issues Have Closed the CommuniCore Hall Meet and Greet
Yesterday, however, technical difficulties at CommuniCore Hall forced the iconic Disney couple to return to their old home in the Imagination pavilion.
According to Cast Members, the air conditioning is not working in CommuniCore Hall, necessitating that Mickey and Minnie meet guests elsewhere.
Luckily, the lobby of the Magic Eye Theater remains largely unused and is still a great place for the duo to set up shop.
My Disney Experience App Is Still Directing Guests to CommuniCore Hall
Guests visiting EPCOT today may notice that the Mickey & Friends meet and greet is listed as open at CommuniCore Hall in Disney World’s My Disney Experience app.
However, those who show up at the traditional meet-and-greet site are being directed to the Imagination pavilion.
As you can see, Mickey and Minnie have taken the move in stride, and are still thrilled to meet guests!
When Will Mickey and Minnie Move Back?
At this time, there is no indication of when Mickey and Minnie will move back to CommuniCore. It should be noted, however, that the rest of the pavilion remains operational.
