New Appointments to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District
Governor Ron DeSantis has announced three new appointments to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, bringing a mix of legal, real estate, and transportation expertise to the board.

Alexis Yarbrough, John Gilbert, and Scott Workman have been named as the latest additions (pending Senate approval).
New Appointments
As a reminder, the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, formally Reedy Creek Improvement District, consists of members appointed by the governor of Florida and confirmed by the Florida Senate.
These members oversee operations and ensure compliance with all state policies.

The governor has appointed the following three members:
Alexis Yarbrough – Chair
Yarbrough currently chairs the Broward College District Board of Trustees. She previously chaired the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission, helping shape Florida’s judicial landscape. Yarbrough holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami and a juris doctor from Nova Southeastern University.
John Gilbert
Gilbert is the Executive Managing Director at Stream Realty Partners and has been recognized as Orlando’s Office Broker of the Year twice by the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks. He holds a bachelor’s degree in real estate from Florida State University.

Scott Workman
Workman is the Owner of Workman Transportation and President of Workman Travel and brings over 25 years of industry experience. Workman attended the University of Iowa.
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District continues to play a crucial role in negotiating with Disney and governing and developing the region’s tourism hub. The new appointments bring leadership and subject-matter expertise to help guide its future.
