WATCH: Rachel Zegler Sings “Whistle While You Work” in New ‘Snow White’ Trailer
Disney’s long-awaited Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs live-action remake will finally hit theaters on March 21, and the studio has given fans a new preview of what they can expect.
Starring Rachel Zegler, Gal Gadot, and Andrew Burnap, Snow White will be a modern retelling of the classic Disney animated film.
“In the heart of a dark forest, the lovely young princess Snow White seeks sanctuary in a quaint cottage belonging to seven dwarfs, escaping the wrath of her envious stepmother, the wicked Queen,” the film’s synopsis reads.

“Consumed by vanity, the Queen, desperate to maintain her title as ‘fairest in the land,’ becomes increasingly threatened by Snow White’s unparalleled beauty, driving her to extreme measures to eliminate her stepdaughter.”
Since its announcement in 2016, Snow White has had a rocky road to theaters. The movie has been involved in pre-release controversies related to Peter Dinklage’s criticism of the story’s depiction of dwarfs and Rachel Zegler’s public comments disparaging the original animated film.

Unlike previous marketing material, the new clip seems to lean into the original animated film and previews Zegler’s performance of “Whistle While You Work” and the Dwarfs’ rendition of “Heigh-Ho.”
Other scenes include Gal Gadot’s Evil Queen asking, “Magic Mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” and the dwarfs working in their mine.
