Groot has officially joined the iconic ride, and Disney just shared this first look on Instagram.
An Exciting Addition
Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy film trilogy and his friends from Marvel Studios films are visiting Earth for vacation! Fans can see them woven throughout the story.
Groot appears as an adorable, childlike figure, swaying to the iconic tune and seamlessly blending into the ride.

This exciting addition is part of Tokyo Disney Resort’s ongoing efforts to enhance attractions with beloved characters while honoring the original intent.
Visitors lucky enough to ride It’s a Small World in Tokyo can now see Groot and friends in multiple scenes, adding a fun Marvel twist to the Disney classic.

Fans can check out the fun from January 15 to June 30, 2025, as “It’s a Small World with Groot” will come to life in a new way.
