ICYMI: “it’s a small world” Will Be Updated for Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration!
The Disneyland Resort is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, and there are tons of festivities in store for guests.

From the return of the fan-favorite Paint the Night Parade, to the debut of the first-ever Walt Disney audio-animatronic, the anniversary celebration is full of exciting offerings that honor the major milestone. And, to add to the excitement, one attraction is receiving an update to celebrate the anniversary and a legendary songwriting duo.
“it’s a small world” Final Verse Update
Disney Parks Blog shared that, in celebration of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, “it’s a small world” will receive an update to its song, aptly named “It’s A Small World.” The iconic duo, the Sherman brothers–Richard Sherman and Robert Sherman–co-wrote the song–one Disney fans know well.

In honor of the anniversary–and the songwriters–the attraction’s song will be updated to include Richard Sherman’s final verse, which also happened to be his final Disney contribution. Here’s the new verse being added to the song:
Mother earth unites us in heart and mind
And the love we give makes us humankind
Through our vast wondrous land
When we stand hand in hand
It’s a small world after all.

The new verse will make its debut in the attraction on July 17th–Disneyland’s 70th birthday.

The Last Verse
Along with the attraction update, The Last Verse will play at Disneyland’s Main Street Cinema on Main Street, U.S.A. The short film (three-and-a-half minutes long) celebrates the profound impact of the Sherman brothers’ iconic song, “It’s A Small World.”
