‘Walt Disney – A Magical Life’ Will Open Later Than Initially Anticipated
At last year’s D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced that a new attraction, titled “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” was coming to the Main Street Opera House at Disneyland Park.
Created to celebrate Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, the new show will star the first-ever Walt Disney animatronic.
Using remastered footage and audio recordings, Walt Disney – A Magical Life will present Walt’s life and career in a fresh way, following his journey from an unknown cartoonist to one of the most influential people who ever lived.

However, the highlight of the attraction will be when the curtain rises, and guests find themselves transported to Walt’s office. Here, an Audio-Animatronic Walt will “share some heartfelt stories and words of wisdom.”
The Attraction Will Now Open on Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary
When Disney initially announced Walt Disney – A Magical Life, they stated that the attraction would open on May 16, 2025. That is the day that the Disneyland Resort 70 Celebration officially kicks off.
Unfortunately, it looks like guests are going to have to wait a little bit longer to see the Walt animatronic in action.

Per today’s update, Walt Disney – A Magical Life will officially open on July 17, alongside two new Main Street Opera House exhibits.
Instead of opening at the start of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, the Walt attraction will debut exactly 70 years after Disneyland opened.

I, for one, can’t wait to see what the new attraction entails!
