More Disney World Lightning Lane Premier Passes Sell Out For February
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that we have been closely following the popularity of the Lightning Lane Premier Pass.
As a quick recap, the Premier Pass was introduced last October as the highest-tier Lightning Lane pass. Initially exclusive to Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests, the pass allows a one-time entry to each Lightning Lane experience at one park.

Additionally, guests do not need to schedule their arrival for each Lightning Lane attraction. They can simply show up and ride!
The Premier Pass Has Proven to be Popular
While the Premier Pass was initially only offered to Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests, Disney announced last month that all Disney World guests can now purchase the premium offering.
Since expanding availability to all guests, we have seen Lightning Lane Premier Passes sell out at an increased rate. The last time we checked in, six dates in February had already sold out for Magic Kingdom, including February 14 and 15.
Now, just days later, even more February dates have sold out.
The Latest Premier Pass Sellouts
A quick look at the Walt Disney World app shows that the Magic Kingdom Premier Pass has now also sold out on February 13, 16, 17, and 18.
That means the pass is now unavailable at Disney World’s flagship park from Thursday through Tuesday. The sellouts are especially notable as they now cover weekdays in February, which is traditionally one of Disney World’s slowest months.
Perhaps more surprising than the Magic Kingdom sellouts, however, is that the Disney Hollywood Studios Lightning Lane Premier Pass sold out on February 16.
This marks the first time since Disney expanded the Lightning Lane Premier Pass to include all guests that Disney’s Hollywood Studios has sold out.
Over the last several months, it has become clear that there is a high demand for the Magic Kingdom Lightning Lane Premier Pass. It has been less clear, however, that there is a market for the Premium Passes at other parks. Today’s news that the Hollywood Studios Premier Pass has sold out on February 16 could prove that there is a demand.
Disney Raised March Prices
Earlier today, we reported that the Premier Pass price point will increase significantly in March.
Clearly, Disney believes there is a demand for what they are selling, and that market is not limited to simply Magic Kingdom.
