Magic Kingdom Lightning Lane Premier Pass Sells Out For Three February Dates — Including Valentine’s Day
In what is becoming an increasingly common occurrence, the Magic Kingdom Lightning Lane Premier Pass has sold out for today. Additionally, it has already sold out for the park on February 14 (Valentine’s Day) and February 15.
As a quick refresher, the Premier Pass is the highest-tier Lightning Lane pass. Now available to all Disney World guests, the pass allows a one-time entry to each Lightning Lane experience at one park.
Additionally, guests do not need to schedule their arrival for each Lightning Lane attraction. They can simply show up and ride!

When the Lightning Lane Premier Pass was initially announced, many were skeptical that there would be a market for such a premium offering. As time has shown, however, those fears were unfounded.
Five February Dates Have Now Sold Out
Initially, Lightning Lane Premier Passes were exclusive to guests staying at Disney World Resorts. Subsequently, however, Disney has opened the perk up to all guests.
Since the policy change on January 21, the Magic Kingdom Lightning Lane Premier Pass has sold out five times.
Looking at the Walt Disney World app, Premier Passes remain available for EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom today. Before selling out, the Magic Kingdom Premier Pass was priced at $379.
In advance of next weekend, the February 14 and February 15 Magic Kingdom Lightning Lane Premier Passes have also sold out. The pass was priced at $399 on February 14, and $379 on February 15.
The Early Verdict on the Premier Pass
While it is likely still too early to make a final judgment on the Lightning Lane Premier Pass, a couple of things have become clear. First and foremost, there is a market for the product. Once again, guests have shown a willingness to spend more for premium perks. However, there is a catch.

Cinderella Castle
All the sellouts we saw in February were for the Magic Kingdom Premier Pass. As the park offers the most Lightning Lane experiences, it is clearly the most popular choice for Premier Pass users. It also provides the most bang for the buck.
Even at significantly reduced prices, guests are still not opting for Animal Kingdom ($159 today), EPCOT ($209 today), or Disney’s Hollywood Studios ($309 today) Premier Passes.
The viability of the system outside of the Magic Kingdom, then, remains to be seen.
