Adventures by Disney Is Heading to Southern France in 2026
In 2026, Adventures by Disney will be setting sail on a brand-new river cruise itinerary through southern France!
The eight-day adventure will begin in Lyon and sail through a series of charming towns in the Rhone River Valley. The excursion will then reach Provence, a beautiful region in the south of France.

Roman History Comes to Life
Travelers on the newest Adventures by Disney trip will get to see history come alive when they stop in Avignon. Here, guests will embark on a VIP-access climb to the top of the Pont du Gard. The ancient Roman aqueduct has stood for nearly 2,000 years!

Those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground can kayak along the banks of the River Gardon and enjoy views of the ancient columns.

Finally, a trip to the Musee du Pont du Gard will allow travelers to immerse themselves in the daily life of ancient Romans through exhibits of artifacts recovered from the area.
The Flavorful Foods and Savory Sips of France

Throughout the river cruise, adults will be able to taste local wines from various growing regions. These include samples from Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards, which were cultivated at the request of Catholic popes in the 14th century.

Younger travelers can enjoy samplings of foods and other activities curated just for them. In Lyon, they will even have their own guided food tour with storytelling inspired by the world of Ratatouille.
See the Landscapes That Inspired Picasso and Van Gogh
As they travel down the Rhone River, guests will be able to watch sweeping landscapes of rolling hills, wildflowers, and olive groves unfold before their eyes.
The region has inspired artists like Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh to create some of their most memorable paintings. In fact, travelers will stop in Aries to visit St. Paul de Mausole. Here, Van Gogh created more than 250 works of art.
