Disney World Whipped Up Savory Flavors and Sweet Treats for Service Celebration Cast Member Party
If you were visiting Walt Disney World last week, you may have noticed that Magic Kingdom closed early on Thursday for a special event.
That occasion was Walt Disney World’s annual Service Celebration, where over 6,500 Cast Members marked anniversaries ranging from 10 to 50 years of service!

The celebration included live entertainment, unique Disney character meet and greets, and, of course, food!
Flavorful Food and Savory Sips
A talented team of Disney chefs worked for months to create the exceptional food and drinks offered at the Cast Member Service Celebration. The final result was a cornucopia of flavors, including Korean gochujang beef stir fry, sofrito-braised pork, marinated chicken thighs, braised beef, street corn, a royal charcuterie, mac and cheese, and more!
“The Service Celebration is such a unique opportunity for our culinary teams to create an unforgettable experience for their fellow cast members,” said Chef Emily. “This event is our team’s busiest day of the year when our cast come together to ensure our honorees feel appreciated.”

To dish out the flavorful food and savor sips, Disney chefs set up buffets, action stations, signature drink kiosks, and handcrafted dessert carts.
A LOT Of Jumbo Shrimp
The event’s highlight, however, was the legendary shrimp, a Cast favorite every year. More than 5,500 pounds of jumbo shrimp were served throughout the park. The shrimp was prominently featured at the base of every themed ice sculpture.

As Cast Members mingled throughout Magic Kingdom, riding attractions with limited to no wait times, there were also plenty of desserts. Disney rolled out an assortment of sweet treats for the event. These included strawberry shortcakes, salted caramel brownies, sticky toffee, pudding, and more.

Other Magic Kingdom treats, such as DOLE Whips, were also available!
A Special Dinner For Disney World’s Long-Serving Cast Members
Finally, over 200 Cast Members celebrating 40 to 50 years of service were treated to a special three-course plated dinner! The celebratory meals were held at Be Our Guest Restaurant (40 Years of service), Cinderella’s Royal Table (45 years of service), and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (50 years of service).
