Disney+ To Debut an Exclusive New Episode of ‘The Simpsons’ on February 12
For the second time in two months an exclusive episode of The Simpsons is coming to Disney+.
Titled The Past and the Furious, the new episode will see Lisa Simpson travel back in time to 1923 to try and save the extinct Springfield Mini Moose, which was once essential to the town’s ecosystem.

“Teaming up with young Monty Burns, Lisa works to save the moose, but her actions unintentionally shape his future as a ruthless tycoon,” the episode’s synopsis reads.
The Second Disney+ Exclusive Episode
Originally announced last August, The Past and the Furious will be The Simpsons’s second Disney+ exclusive episode. On December 17, 2024, the streamer debuted a two-part episode titled O C’Mon All Ye Faithful.

Another exclusive episode titled Yellow Planet is also set to debut later this year.
Disney’s Embrace of ‘The Simpsons’
Since acquiring The Simpsons as part of its purchase of 20th Century Fox, Disney has continued to integrate the iconic series into their core brand. While Bob Iger initially opted to keep the franchise at bay, distributing it through Hulu and not Disney+, any aversion that the company had with The Simpsons has since dissipated.
To that end, the series is now prominently featured on Disney+, and rumors continue to swirl that The Simpsons will be integrated into the Disney Parks.

While Disney has made it clear that it intends to leave The Simpsons on Fox, more exclusive Disney+ content is undoubtedly in the pipeline.
