Traveling with kids can be a tricky thing. Even on a Disney vacation that’s specifically geared to them, kids often require naps, specific foods, and a WHOLE lot of patience — and that’s EXACTLY why Disney vacations are so appealing to families!

At Disney resorts, Disney Cast Members are known for their incredible attitudes and kind acceptance of kids. If you’ve ever had a Disney Cast Member rescue you from a toddler meltdown, you’re FAR from alone!
Of course, the same is true of Disney Cruise Line, which caters to families with magical, immersive kids’ clubs and exciting kids’ activities.

Up until 2020, Disney Cruise Line ALSO offered the popular Dine & Play program, which delivered an extra dash of pixie dust for kids — and a bit of well-earned relaxation for their parents!

Five years later, Disney has announced that the Dine & Play program is OFFICIALLY returning to Disney Cruise Line! Let’s check it out!
Dine & Play Returns to Disney Cruise Line
Before the program was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dine & Play was an extremely popular way for parents to enjoy some kid-free time during their cruise.

First, parents would enjoy dinner with their children at the Second Seating.
Then, Disney Cruise Line Youth Counselors arrived at the dining rooms and escorted kids to the Oceaneer Club, where the kids played games, enjoyed character meet-and-greets, and other Disney fun.

Meanwhile, parents could linger over their meals, enjoying (uninterrupted!) adult conversation and an extra cocktail (or three!).
