PHOTOS: Baby Bakso Makes His Highly-Anticipated Debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that we have been enamored with the journey of baby Bakso!
For those who don’t know, Bakso is a Sumatran tiger cub who was born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom last October. Over the last three months, Disney has been giving weekly updates on Bakso and his mother, Shoni, as they prepare for their debut on the Maharajah Jungle Trek.
Over that time, we watched as Bakso got his first checkups, began to explore his environment, learned to swim, and even eat his first meatball!

Needless to say, Bakso has captured the hearts of fans from around the world.
Bakso and Sohni Debut on the Maharajah Jungle Trek
As someone who has closely watched the Sumatran tiger grow over the past 11 weeks, I am thrilled to announce that Bakso and Soni have officially made their debut on the Maharajah Jungle Trek!

Adorable as ever, the young Sumatran tiger looked thrilled to make his on-stage debut!

By and large, Bakso stayed near his mom.

Bakso Will Only Be Out For Short Intervals
After hearing that Bakso was making his big debut, we headed over to Animal Kingdom to see the tiger cub.
Unfortunately, by the time we got to the park, Bakso had returned to his backstage enclosure. According to the Cast Member we talked to, he will only be out for short intervals in the morning.
We did, however, get to see Sohni, who looked majestic!
So, next time you visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom, make sure you stop by the Maharajah Jungle Trek to see Bakso and Sohni for yourself. Tell them we said hi!
