Disneyland To Refurbish All 1,019 Rooms at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa — Here Are the Details
As announced by Disneyland last week, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is set to undergo a massive renovation that will see all 1,019 guest rooms renovated with new carpeting, upholstery, bedding, decor, and artwork.
For those who don’t know, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel was designed as a tribute to the Arts & Crafts movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

According to Disney, the Arts & Crafts motif will continue in the new decor, and each room will feature artwork commissioned from local Impressionist plein air painters. Additionally, California wildflower accents will be added to the rooms.
The Rooms Will Be Refurbished in Phases
As we have discussed many times here at MickeyBlog, Disney typically renovates its guest rooms every seven years. The last time the Grand Californian got a refresh was in 2017, meaning the hotel was due.

In order to minimize the impact on guests, the rooms will be refurbished in phases, and the hotel will remain open throughout the project.
Napa Rose Will Also Be Renovated
In addition to refurbishing the hotel’s guest rooms, Disney will also remodel Napa Rose, which will close this spring. The restaurant is expected to keep its rustic charm while adding French oak flooring and columns, artisan metals, and a grapevine-inspired chandelier.

During the renovation, Napa Wine’s exhibition kitchen and chef’s counter will be expanded, and two new fireplaces will be added.
Finally, the Grand Californian will add a Veranda concierge lounge for club-level guests!
