Plan for Success: EPCOT Opens LATE on April 6th!
A lot goes into planning a Disney World trip. (And that’s putting it lightly.)

From dining reservations to Lightning Lane passes, there’s quite a bit to consider when planning your vacation. Of course, you also need to be aware of each park’s operating hours to maximize your time in the resort. With that said, there’s a day in April when EPCOT’s hours of operation change–take a look.
EPCOT Opens Late
According to the My Disney Experience app, EPCOT is set to open late on April 6th. Early entry will be available to select guests at 9:30AM and general entry will begin at 10:00AM.

The runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend is running (get it?) in the resort from April 3rd through April 6th. The longest race of the weekend, the Springtime Surprise 10-Miler, will take place on April 6th–most likely creating the need for the park to open late.

During the race weekend, all other parks will maintain their normal hours of operation. EPCOT will only open late on April 6th–all other days in April (that we can currently see on the calendar) have regular hours.
2025 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend
The 2025 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend will be full of heroic events that spring participants into action! Each race/challenge medal is themed after the individual “quest”…

…and, of course, there will be merchandise to commemorate the event. Speaking of merchandise, Brooks–now the official running shoe of runDisney–will make its official debut this race weekend, with their first pairs of Disney-inspired shoes available to guests at the event.

These weekends can bring in some heavier crowds, so just prepare for the “worst” (and hope for the best).
runDisney Wine and Dine Crowds
Participants can kick off the weekend on April 3rd with a morning yoga session (registration is still open)…

…and celebrate a successful race weekend with the Springtime Surprise Splash at Typhoon Lagoon on April 6th (registration is still open for this event, as well)!
