ICYMI: Dumbo the Flying Elephant Playground Refurbishment Pushed Back
‘Tis the season for refurbishments!

Now that we’re out of the holiday season, Disney is hitting a slower period (which is still busy–we want to make that clear). During these slower seasons, Disney maximizes their time by getting some much-needed refurbishments done. And one refurbishment on the list over here at Disney World just got pushed back.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant Playground Refurbishment
The popular indoor playground located in the Dumbo the Flying Elephant queue will close for refurbishment. Disney originally announced the closure date as today, January 27th, 2025.

However, the Disney World website was updated today, pushing back the closure date to February 24th, 2025. The playground is expected to reopen to tiny guests in Spring 2025.

While the playground is closed for refurbishment, the attraction will remain open! We noticed some tarps and barriers went up already–we’re unsure if those will remain in place while the playground stays open, or if they’ll go back down until the updated refurbishment date.
