Change Your Routine with These New Disney Restaurants
I’m speaking from experience when I say that it’s easy to fall into a trap with Disney dining.
Once I find the places I enjoy, I tend to rotate meals between these places due to familiarity.

That’s a huge mistake, though. Disney frequently adds new dining options at the parks, resorts, and entertainment complexes.
So, let’s all expand our palates today by discussing the recent additions.
Here are eight new Disney dining options.
1900 Park Fare

1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Let’s start with a potentially controversial inclusion, but I’d feel ridiculous if I didn’t mention it.
Technically, 1900 Park Fare has served guests for many years now. Then, the pandemic shuttered the restaurant.
1900 Park Fare remained closed until early 2024, and when it returned, it looked substantially different.
Disney redesigned the interior while keeping the beloved band organ, Big Bertha.

Simultaneously, Disney dramatically altered the character dining experiences to focus on new stories.
Guests can hang out with Tiana, Mirabel, and Aladdin, who sports his regal outfit.
Disney has reinvigorated the space and updated the menu. Don’t worry, though! The Strawberry Soup remains!
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs
Those of you unfamiliar with this place are likely wondering about its placement here. It’s just a corn dog place, right?
Well, these particular corn dogs have delighted Disneyland guests for quite a while.
Walt Disney World fans felt left out because…let’s be honest. Who doesn’t love corn dogs?
So, Disney’s BoardWalk built its own Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, and the place is wildly popular already.

I’m not kidding when I say that this is one of the buzziest new restaurants at Walt Disney World in ages.
The Cake Bake Shop

Gwendolyn Rogers
Remarkably, that’s not the only one at the BoardWalk.
Famous restauranteur Gwendolyn Rogers has opened The Cake Bake Shop, and it’s also created quite the buzz.
While early reviews obsessed over the price, Disney fans focused more on what matters here: the flavors.
The Cake Bake Shop delivers one of the finest dining experiences at Walt Disney World, and you can’t put a price on that.
One of our staff members loved it so much that the restaurant used their review on the official site.
We’ve had an internal discussion about whether our team should pick this place for all celebratory meals.
The Cake Bake Shop is already one of our go-to places!
eet by Maneet Chauhan
Food Network fans are very familiar with Maneet Chauhan, who did this:
You may recognize former Top Chef All-Stars champion Brooke Williamson as her opponent.
They were the finalists in a Tournament of Champions, with Chauhan emerging victorious and donating her winnings to charity.
You can sample her award-winning Indian fusion dishes at eet.
This is the one Indian restaurant at Disney Springs, which makes it a destination dining experience for foodies.
Roundup Rodeo BBQ

Disney promised this restaurant long before it opened.
In an alternative timeline, Roundup Rodeo BBQ opened at the same time as the rest of Toy Story Land.

While a budget shortfall forced its delay, fans have benefitted from the extra time.
Disney has thoughtfully required a spectacular themed restaurant.

You’ll get into the spirit of Toy Story the instant you enter the building, and you’ll remain that way the whole time you’re there.
As you relish the ambiance, a Cast Member will serve you with some of Orlando’s best barbecue and other proteins.

A server told us that Roundup Rodeo BBQ is a “destination job” for Cast Members in that lots of them want to work there.
You’ll notice this aspect during the meal, as Disney’s finest servers work here.

Their goal is to maintain the magic for you throughout the meal. So, pay attention to your surroundings!
You never know what kind of shenanigans will unfold while you’re there! When the lights start flashing, the fun begins.
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya
Formerly known as Tokyo Dining, this space has received a makeover and an upscaling of its menu.
Previously, the lingering complaint about the old place was that the food seemed conventional. There was no daring to the menu.
Nobody will EVER say that about Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, as playfulness is available with each bite, presuming you’re adventurous.
Shareable Izakaya Classics comprise the heart of the menu, and there’s some variance to them.
When two or three people dine together, some plates only offer a couple of bites each, while others will be totally fulfilling.
Obviously, sushi is key to the dining experience as well. So, you can combine it with Izakaya shareables.
In the process, you’ll create a unique dining experience, one that you can vary with each repeat visit.
And believe me when I say that you WILL want to go back.
This place has earned a reputation as the best sushi spot outside Disney Springs.
While Iron Chef Morimoto’s restaurant, Morimoto Asia, probably remains the superior option, you should switch it up by trying Shika-Sai.
Summer House on the Lake
Disney neither owns nor operates this place, which I mention because you may get confused.
Generally, nobody does theming better than Disney. Summer House on the Lake is exceptional at it, though.
The concept here is that you’re dining at a beach house with a view of the lake.
In this case, the “lake” is Lake Buena Vista, as the restaurant’s patios overlook the waters of Disney Springs.

Summer House on the Lake
As for the food, this California cuisine menu had already won awards long before the restaurant opened at Disney Springs.
You’ll feel sunny and warm throughout a delightful meal in a serene environment.
Wailulu Bar & Grill
You know that a restaurant is terrific if it’s taking attention away from ‘Ohana.
At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, that’s a seemingly impossible feat, yet that’s what we’re witnessing.

Wailulu Bar & Grill
The initial reception to Wailulu Bar & Grill is so glowingly positive that ‘Ohana has been recently outshined.
Nobody saw that coming when Disney announced Wailulu, as it seemed like a fairly innocuous Polynesian restaurant.

Spiced Ham Musubi
A funny thing happened once Floridians and tourists sampled the cuisine, though.
I know -several- people who loved the food so much that they returned later that week.

Sweet Potato Hummus
So, the food here is so delicious that you immediately want to go back and eat there again!
Even at Walt Disney World, a foodie’s paradise, that sort of immediate credibility is rare.

Wailulu Bar & Grill
To a larger point, all these restaurants have received glowing praise and virtually no criticism.
I’d strongly encourage you to expand your dining rotation to include at least a few of these new restaurants.

Wailulu Bar & Grill
You will NOT regret the decision! All these places have immediately taken a spot in the upper echelon of Disney dining.
