What Are the E-Ticket Attractions at Disney World?
A long time ago, Walt Disney wanted to increase prices to pay for expensive new attractions.
Now you know who to blame for the high cost of churros.

Anyway, this behavior became a business model for Disney, with parks frequently adding better attractions to generate revenue.
In the olden days, they were called E-ticket attractions because guests paid per attraction, and the E-ticket rides cost the most.

So, whenever you hear the term “E-ticket attraction,” it means the best of the best at Disney.
So, what are Disney World’s E-ticket attractions in 2025?
Avatar Flight of Passage

First, here’s a word about this list. I’m not listing anything just because it was previously an E-ticket attraction.
If we were living in the 1970s, Space Mountain would still qualify.

Thankfully, we’re not, though. If we were, you couldn’t check your texts, and we wouldn’t be speaking since there’s no internet.
Today’s focus is on the modern classics, the rides whose appeal is so strong that Disney builds marketing campaigns around them.

In the case of Avatar Flight of Passage, the entirety of Disney’s Animal Kingdom revolves around it.
Okay, the animals may have a little to do it as well, but Pandora – The World of Avatar is quantifiably a draw.

Park attendance increased as soon as this area opened, and it’s largely stayed that way save for the hiccup of the pandemic.
Often described as Soarin’ on Steroids, this ride sweeps guests into the skies of Pandora, and it remains thrilling to this day.
Frozen Ever After

Frozen Ever After
Most of the titles on this list won’t surprise you, at least not if you’ve visited the parks recently.
Coincidentally or not, these attractions typically require the longest waits at Walt Disney World.

You could wait an hour or more for virtually all of them. In the case of Frozen Ever After, the number used to be much higher.
During the infamous Frozen Fever era of 2016, all roads at the World Showcase seemingly led to this ride.

While you’ll notice fewer children dressed as Elsa & Anna these days, Frozen Ever After remains just as much of a draw as ever.
Even though EPCOT has added two other E-ticket rides we’ll discuss, park guests still take a trip to Arendelle whenever possible.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Here’s one of those other EPCOT attractions, one that has done the seemingly impossible.
Hey! Who here remembers the Energy pavilion and Ellen’s Energy Adventure?

You should. The ride only closed seven years ago. Then again, that was a full pandemic ago.
So, I don’t blame you for considering EPCOT as the home to its replacement, the Wonders of Xandar pavilion.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Disney invested mightily in reclaiming this space and introducing a pavilion that guests wanted rather than the infotainment one Exxon preferred.
Replacing Ellen’s Energy Adventure with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is like trading a high school baseball player for Shohei Ohtani.

Everyone knows this roller coaster has hugely upgraded EPCOT, and attendance has risen in tandem with its arrival.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Here’s the oldest attraction on this list, which speaks volumes about its lasting appeal.
I vividly recall the early reviews for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Mine was glowingly positive, while “underwhelming” seemed to be the consensus opinion about Disney critics.
This isn’t me providing an I Told You So. Instead, it demonstrates how people can miss the forest for the trees.

Some folks built up the ride too much in their heads, and it couldn’t possibly match their expectations.
Disney’s marketing team sold Seven Dwarfs Mine Train correctly, though. This is a family roller coaster experience.

For that matter, it’s also a dark ride. Most importantly, it’s a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ride.
Fans treasure that aspect the most, and I emphasize treasure since part of the experience involves a shiny jewel mine.

For over a decade now, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has been the top attraction at the most popular theme park on the planet.
That fact makes it THE most E-ticket attraction of anything listed here.
Slinky Dog Dash

Toy Story has established itself as the top brand in the vaunted Pixar library.
We’re talking about the master of stories here, and Toy Story is the most beloved of the bunch.

So, the idea of Toy Story Land was always going to sell tourists on the premise.
We witnessed this with international versions of the themed land.

Slinky Dog Dash
Disney saved the best for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, though.
This roller coaster thrills children and adults alike, all while teaching about the laws of physics.

Nobody ever appreciates it, but that’s what a Slinky does. It’s physics in motion.
This one’s better than most because it’s got airtime, twists, turns, and a stop in the middle to heighten anticipation.

Even before the next ride opened, Slinky Dog Dash was already boosting park attendance.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Tower of Terror
Every Disney theme park has a top draw. At Hollywood Studios, the answer was Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
Honestly, that answer stood for far too long, as Disney didn’t do its best to keep the park updated and fresh.

During the 2010s, park officials finally took the overhaul seriously, starting with Toy Story Land.
The crown jewel arrived in 2019, with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening and instantly supercharging Hollywood Studios.

Obviously, the top attraction here is Star Wars: Rise of Resistance, a ride so good it took longer to finish.
Specifically, the entire themed land opened before this attraction.

Patience was definitely a virtue in waiting for its debut, though.
Rise of the Resistance has anchored Hollywood Studios for more than five years now, and nothing’s gonna change anytime soon.
TRON Lightcycle / Run

Photo: Disney World
Okay, I lied a minute ago. Well, more accurately, I exaggerated for effect.
Technically, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is no longer the alpha attraction at Magic Kingdom.

TRON Lightcycle / Run
TRON Lightcycle / Run claimed that title when it debuted in 2023.
Then again, we couldn’t really confirm this point until very recently.

Photo: Disney
For most of the roller coaster’s existence, it’s been available only via Lightning Lane.
Disney only recently changed the attraction to a standby wait.

Photo: Disney
Since then, TRON has exceeded even Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in terms of crowd sizes and wait times.
At this moment, there’s an argument to be had about the top E-ticket attraction across Walt Disney World.

Most people would likely point to either this ride or Rise of the Resistance as the best of the best at Disney.
