NEWS: Disneyland Revealed the Reopening Date for the Monorail and Railroad!
Transporting yourself around the Disneyland Resort looks a little different right now. (We hope you like walking!)

Disneyland Park
The Disneyland Monorail and Disneyland Railroad are currently closed for refurbishments, leaving guests without the ease and accessibility that accompanies the transportation systems. (They’re also classic resort staples, so it’s a bit of a bummer to have them both closed at the same time.) But don’t fret–we finally know when both attractions will reopen in Disneyland!
Reopening Dates
According to the Disneyland Resort website, on March 7th, 2025, both the Disneyland Monorail…

For some, the absence of these transportation systems has been felt, while others have barely noticed. (You either get the love for the resort’s transportation systems or you don’t. We’ve noticed there’s no “in-between” here.)
Disneyland’s Monorail and Railroad
In case you’re unfamiliar with the systems–or want a refresher before your next trip–the Monorail provides guests with a 2.5-mile, 13-minute (give or take a few minutes) trip around the resort. There are two stations–one in Tomorrowland and another in Downtown Disney (which actually takes guests with valid tickets into Disneyland Park, bypassing the need to use the Main Entrance).

Disneyland Monorail
The Monorail zooms over Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, the Matterhorn, Grizzly Peak, and more iconic places! If you’ve never taken a ride on the Monorail before, we highly recommend giving it a try when it reopens.

Monorail Track in Tomorrowland
The Disneyland Railroad is an 18-minute round-trip ride around the park, with stations located in New Orleans Square, Mickey’s Toontown, Tomorrowland, and Main Street, U.S.A. The ride provides you with more than just incredible views of the park–you also get to view dioramas of the Grand Canyon and Primeval World – Land of the Dinosaurs!
