Luggage Tags Are Changing for Disney Cruise Line
Have you got a Disney Cruise booking coming up? Lucky you!
Whether you’re due to set sail soon or not, we’ve just received an interesting update from Disney Cruise Line — and guests will want to know more. Keep reading, and let’s check it out!
New Luggage Tags
Yep, today we’re talking all about Luggage Tags, as Disney Cruise Line has just introduced some changes to the familiar labeling system.

Disney Treasure
According to Disney Travel Agents, this update has been done to help streamline the luggage process for both guests and crew members, making bags easier to identify and more efficient to transport.
The format of the labels has changed quite a bit, so let’s see what’s new!

A New Format
Now, if you’ve received luggage tags from Disney within the past few days, you might have already seen these new designs, which are officially in use from now on.
There are three tag options for guests sailing Concierge, non-Concierge, and in Guarantee (GTY) cabins.

Color-Coordination
Perhaps the biggest change is that the labels are now color-coordinated, depending on the ship!
This color scheme is as follows:
- Disney Magic – Green
- Disney Wonder – Orange
- Disney Dream – Blue
- Disney Fantasy – Purple
- Disney Wish – Maroon
- Disney Treasure – Yellow
We’ll have to wait and see what the Disney Adventure’s color will be!

DCL
Concierge Class
Previously, the Concierge labels were a separate color from those used by non-Concierge guests.
Now, the tags will be the same color (as per the code above), yet will be marked by a special icon depicting crossed Mickey keys.

Stateroom Numbers
Another change is that each guest’s stateroom number will be printed in a larger font on each tag, again for easy identification. The barcodes we used to see on the tags have also been removed.
For guests on a GTY basis, there will be a big space on the tags for guests to add their own stateroom number once it has been assigned.

What Else is Changing?
We’re thrilled to say that, other than the design update for the tags, the labeling system for Disney Cruise Line luggage has otherwise remained unchanged.
Guests will still receive their luggage tags plenty of time ahead of their sailing and by the same mailer system.

Disney Cruise Line Gangway
If you do arrive at embarkation without your luggage tags, porters will have generic labels available for both Concierge and non-Concierge guests to use instead.
It’s interesting to note that this change is happening amid active sailings. So, if you’re set to sail in the coming weeks, you may find your luggage tags will look a bit different to other guests. But, don’t worry! Disney will be prepared for this, and it won’t impact your smooth sailing at all.
