Josh D’Amaro and Alan Bergman to Present ‘The Future of World-Building at Disney’ Session at SXSW
The Walt Disney Company will once again have a presence at SXSW this year, as both Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro and Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Alan Bergman are scheduled to make an appearance.
The Disney executives will speak during a session titled The Future of World-Building at Disney, which is described as highlighting “the convergence of imagination, innovation, and the future of experiential storytelling.”

“Join Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro, Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Alan Bergman and special guests as they show the convergence of imagination, innovation and the future of experiential storytelling,” SXSW advertises.
When Will the Session Take Place?
While the exact date and time of the Disney session have yet to be announced, SXSW runs from March 7 through March 15 this year.
The last time that Disney gave a presentation at SXSW was in 2023 when Josh D’Amaro hosted Creating Happiness: The Art & Science of Disney Parks Storytelling.

At that session, Disney unveiled a “real” lightsaber, a next-generation robot prototype, and a new way for fans to interact with their favorite Disney characters.
Bergman’s Presence Is Noteable
While it remains to be seen what this year’s session has in store for fans, Bergman’s presence is interesting. Disney is coming off a hallmark year at the box office, giving the Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman every reason to celebrate.

Perhaps more importantly, however, Bergman (like D’Amaro) is considered a potential candidate to succeed Bob Iger as Disney’s CEO. His presence at a premier showcase, then, is notable.
