The Seas With Nemo & Friends Reduces Hours as Refurbishment of the Pavilion’s Aquariums Continue
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, then you know that major changes have occurred at EPCOT’s The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilion over the last couple of months.
It all began last September when Lou (a manatee) and three male dolphins were relocated from their home in the pavilion to other facilities in Florida. At the time, Disney hinted that the changes were influenced by ongoing work in the pavilion’s aquariums and exhibits.

“This decision came after a comprehensive evaluation as to what is best for these dolphins as infrastructure work progresses at The Seas,” Disney explained.
More Construction and the Departure of the Manatees
Last week, construction walls went up around the dolphin tanks, indicating that the refurbishment had reached another stage.

At this time, Disney also announced that Lil Joe and Inigo, the two manatees housed in The Seas pavilion, had been relocated to a new home.

With many of the pavilion’s biggest stars now gone, the refurbishment of The Seas has expanded.
The Latest From EPCOT
When visiting EPCOT today, we noticed that construction walls and curtains continue to cover The Seas’s manatee exhibit.

Additionally, as a new era in The Seas With Nemo & Friends unfolds before our eyes, the pavilion will close early for the immediate future.

A sign in front of the pavilion’s entrance notes that The Seas will close at 7:00 PM. When construction is completed, the pavilion is expected to return to its normal hours.
