Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Breaks Ground for New Convention Space
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is undergoing a major transformation this year. The luxury resort is getting the largest makeover in its 25-year history and will transform every guest room on the property.

The resort has launched a multi-phase, multi-year, $140 million redesign project that will transform the 758-room Swan Hotel and the 1,509-room Dolphin Hotel.
In addition, construction has begun on a significant expansion to its convention and meeting facilities.
Swan and Dolphin Expansion
The new two-story annex will add 120,000 square feet to the property’s event space, marking it as the first significant expansion of the Dolphin’s meeting areas since 2003.
Executives from Tishman Realty, MetLife, Marriott International, and Walt Disney World Resort celebrated the groundbreaking.

Inspired by the property’s original Michael Graves design, the new space boasts ample natural light combined with a modern flair. It features water themes alongside warm, wooden touches, creating a comfortable and elegant design.
The new addition is expected to be completed in 2026. It will bring the total meeting space to an impressive 469,000 square feet, making it one of the largest convention properties on the East Coast.

This expansion is part of a $275 million investment that also includes upgrades to existing meeting spaces and guest rooms. With 2,619 guest rooms across the Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve, this complex continues to expand and lead in the convention hotel industry.
