Festival Passport
In case you missed it, EPCOT’s 2025 Festival of the Arts kicks off in Disney World TODAY, January 17th, and runs through Monday, February 24th.
The fan-favorite event features exclusive merchandise, live entertainment, exciting art demonstrations, and a WHOLE LOT of incredible food.

We’ve spent the morning sampling festival treats at Figment’s Imagination Station and El Artista Hambriento. Now, we’re heading over to the China pavilion to taste-test the goods at The Painted Panda!

Let’s check it out!
The Painted Panda at EPCOT’s China Pavilion
With its vibrant colors and striking architecture, EPCOT‘s China pavilion is always a sight to behold.

It’s also a FABULOUS place to grab a bite, whether it’s a quick grab-n-go snack or a meal at the chronically underrated Nine Dragons Restaurant.

But during EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts, the China pavilion is ALSO home to The Painted Panda.

The Painted Panda
Here, you’ll find THREE food options and FOUR beverage options.
This year, the booth offers several NEW items, including the Har Gow (shrimp dumplings with pumpkin puree and a drizzle of chili oil), the Egg Tart (Hong Kong-style egg custard tart), and the non-alcoholic Strawberry Bubble Milk Tea. Here’s a look at the full menu:

The Painted Panda
Today, we started with the Egg Tart ($5.50).

The Painted Panda
Sadly, this is one Festival of the Arts snack that left us SERIOUSLY underwhelmed. The tart is basically a hot custard with a flaky pie crust – but the overpowering egg flavor left a bad taste in our mouths.

The Painted Panda
Disappointed by the Egg Tart, we moved on to the Har Gow ($10.75).

The Painted Panda
The shrimp dumplings come complete with pumpkin puree and a drizzle of chili oil. But unfortunately, this one was another major MISS for our team.

The Painted Panda
Texturally, the Har Gow was very gummy and chewy – our team described it as “a textural nightmare.” Add that to the overly fishy flavor of the shrimp, and we chalked this one up to a FAIL.
Overall, The Painted Panda is a SKIP for this year’s Festival of the Arts.
Don’t Miss Out!
The Painted Panda may be a SKIP this year, but EPCOT’s 2025 International Festival of the Arts has plenty of yummy treats to offer! Make sure to visit EPCOT to check it out, NOW through February 24th!
