Disney’s Villains Plead Their Case
In September 2024, Disney announced that a new villain show would replace the Lightning McQueen Racing Academy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Located in Sunset Showcase, the show will transport guests to the mysterious, reflective realm of the Magic Mirror. Here, they will come face to face with the likes of Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent.

Alongside a new piece of concept art, Disney has now shared a deeper dive into the attraction’s story.
In Unfairly Ever After, the Magic Mirror will summon guests for a trial of Disney’s biggest villains. It turns out, that the scoundrals have long felt that they were treated poorly over the years.
“Never ones to let a dramatic performance pass them by, fiendish foes Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent will break through the glass and take the stage to prove once and for all why they are the most misunderstood,” Disney teases.

Ultimately, it will be up to guests to make the final ruling as dozens of Disney villains take the stage to await their fate.
A Long Time Coming
According to Disney, the team behind the show has spent two years developing the cutting-edge stage design, special effects, and musical numbers that will bring the show to life!
