Food & Drinks
We started out with the new Wagyu Bun for $9.75. This is a steamed bun filled with American wagyu beef served with Japanese karashi mustard sauce and violet shiso sauce.
The bun is nice and soft and the meat inside is tender and juicy!
This is kind of a plain dish, but it’s a safe option and the sauce adds a nice amount of flavor! The mustard sauce is good with the meat and the violet sauce is tangy.
Then, we got the returning Sushi Donut, which is donut-shaped sushi featuring salmon, tuna, shrimp, cucumber, and sesame seed over a decorated plate of wasabi aïoli, sriracha aïoli, and eel sauce for $8.75.
This is awesome! You get a good portion of fish and rice and the sauces really bring it to the next level.
The wasabi aïoli has a nice kick to it and so does the sriracha aïoli. The eel sauce is also a perfect accompaniment to the fish!
For dessert, we grabbed the new Taiyaki for $6.75. It’s a crisp, flaky fish-shaped pastry filled with sweet red bean served with whipped topping and blueberry popping boba.
This is really interesting! The bean paste is sweet and the shell is crispy. The boba have a nice blueberry flavor and it’s fun to eat with the Taiyaki! It’s definitely not your average dessert and it’s worth checking out.
For drinks, you can get the new Okinawa Lemonade, which is a non-alcoholic drink featuring lemonade mix with Shikuwasa Citrus for $6.75. There is also the new Yuzu IPA, which is $5.75 for 6 oz. and $9.75 for 12 oz., the Masu Sake in a traditional personalized wooden cup for $14, and the new Junmai Daiginjyo Sake Flight, which has plum, yuzu, hyuganatsu, and sakuranbo Cherry sake for $16.75.
