Something is Missing in the Cotton Candy Funnel Cake at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts
It’s the very first day of the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts!
We think that calls for a bit of a special celebratory treat, don’t you?
Over here in the World Showcase, our MickeyBlog reporters have found what is surely set to be the most colorful, the most creative, the most artistic sweet treat ever to grace the American Adventure pavilion.

Funnel Cake Stand
Yup, we’re over here between the American Adventure and the Japan pavilion of the World Showcase, and of course, it’s the iconic Funnel Cake Stand that has got our attention right now!
Always known for creating the most inventive new funnel cake concoctions for each EPCOT event, this stand really has pulled out all the stops for this year’s Festival of the Arts.
We hope your sweet tooth is ready, as we’re going to get right into it!
New for 2025 is the Cotton Candy Funnel Cake, and boy is it pretty!
Not only has the piped dough been sprinkled with powdered sugar, but it also has a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream perched in the center, with a mountain of whipped cream on top of that.
Then, because this is an arts festival after all, the treat has been covered with pink and purple sugar dusting, with a puff of pink cotton candy added to finish off the creation. It costs $12.
We think you’ll agree that this looks simply adorable and almost too sweet to eat!
Ok, maybe not too sweet to eat. Of course, our reporters had to dig right in!
But, what did they think of this treat?
Well. Here’s the thing.
While this funnel cake was perfect — doughy, sweet, and tasty — the “cotton candy” promise of the dessert was really nowhere to be found! As this was topped with vanilla ice cream and vanilla cream, there really was no cotton candy flavoring anywhere other than the cotton candy puff itself.
Had there been more cotton candy flavoring in the toppings, we think this would have been much more of a hit!
That being said, there’s really no denying that this dessert sure is pretty, and we’re certain it’ll still brighten your day here at the 2025 EPCOT Festival of the Arts. Give it a go, and let us know what you think!
