NEWS: Blizzard Beach Will Be Closed for 3 Days This Week in Disney World
Believe it or not, it does get kind of cold at Disney World during the winter months! It’s not anything comparable to a Canadian winter or anything, but it can be chilly if you’re not prepared.
And, sometimes, things actually shut down because of the cold weather, which is exactly what’s happening with one of Disney’s water parks right now.
Blizzard Beach Closed
Blizzard Beach will be closed today, tomorrow, and Thursday this week. This is likely due to the cold weather!
Despite its chilly name, Blizzard Beach does not stay open when temps are colder in Disney World.

According to The Weather Channel, the high today in Disney World is only 66 degrees, with the low being 46. Tomorrow, the high is also 66 with a low of 48; on Thursday, the high is 64 degrees with a low of 41.

On Friday, the high is a little bit better at 67 degrees with a low of 52, so we’ll see if Blizzard Beach actually plans to open that day or if it will be too cold! However, on Saturday, the high shoots up to 79 degrees, which is perfect water park weather.
Even though Blizzard Beach is covered in “snow” we promise that you don’t want to be hanging out in the wave pool when it’s like 60 degrees outside — brr!
Could you imagine being in a wet bathing suit up on that ski lift in those temps? No thank you!
