UPDATE: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Digital Map Undergoes a Huge Change
A new chapter in the history of Disney’s Animal Kingdom began today as the park opened without Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama for the first time since 2001.
The countdown to extinction finally struck zero last night, and TriceraTop Spin, the Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures were all permanently closed.

To mark this new era of park history, Disney’s Animal Kingdom debuted an updated physical map this morning. As we reported earlier, the new map replaced Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama with an empty green expanse.
The Digital Map Still Showed Dino-Rama
While the physical version of the official Animal Kingdom map was updated before the park opened, the same was not true of the digital version.

The park map online and in the Walt Disney World app still showed Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama. Here is what it looked like.

Disney Has Now Updated the Digital Map
Since our early morning report, Disney has updated the park’s digital map, and Dino-Rama has been “greened out.” Here is what the updated version looks like.

With the rest of DinoLand U.S.A. expected to continue operation through the end of 2025, guests should get used to the land’s new look.
As for Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama, the carnival area will be demolished to make way for the park’s new Tropical Americas land.
