Magic Kingdom Mystery: Part of the Emporium Is Currently Closed Off to Guests
If you are a frequent visitor to Walt Disney World, you know that The Most Magical Place on Earth is seemingly always changing.
While some projects, such as the reimagining of Test Track, the closing of Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama, or even the refurbishment of Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, are clear and obvious changes, others are more subtle.
Nearly every day, Disney seems to be tinkering with some aspect of the parks, introducing new merchandise, changing menus, or performing routine maintenance.
With that in mind, I want to turn your attention to the Magic Kingdom’s Emporium, where some kind of refurbishment has begun.
A Section of the Emporium Is Closed Off
When visiting the Magic Kingdom’s flagship shop today, we noticed a large part of the store’s toy section was blocked off.

A look at the current state of the Emporium.
As you can see, short construction walls have been put up, and the area is now blocked off from the view of guests.
To this point, Disney has not announced any major refurbishment for the Emporium. Additionally, the rest of the store remains operational.
A Magic Kingdom Mystery
While we are only speculating, it does not appear that the project will expand into a larger refurbishment. Instead, it looks like the toy section is getting some kind of remodeling done.
Hopefully, we have more answers soon. For now, however, it is worth keeping an eye on.
