Disney is Recognized as the 2025 Student Veterans of America Corporate Champion of the Year
Congratulations to the Walt Disney Company! Student Veterans of America (SVA) recently awarded Disney the Daniel J. Edelman Corporate Champion of the Year during their 2025 national conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
This marks the second time Disney has received this honor.
Military Dedication
As we step into 2025, Disney is continuing its dedication to the military community through impactful initiatives and partnerships.

“We are deeply honored by this recognition and cherish our longstanding partnership with Student Veterans of America,” said Tinisha Agramonte, Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer of The Walt Disney Company.
“Disney has a proud history of honoring and supporting those who serve. We know how important it is to give back, support, and enrich the military community. It is our privilege to contribute to the success of student veterans as they embark on meaningful new chapters after their service to our nation.”
Continued Support

Disney’s respect for service members and their families traces back to its founders, Walt and Roy O. Disney, who both served during World War I. Over 100 years later, their legacy continues through collaborations with organizations like SVA.
SVA empowers veterans and military-connected students to achieve their academic and career goals.

This initiative aligns with Disney’s $1 million grant to support the next generation of veteran leaders. According to Jared Lyon, SVA President and CEO, “Disney has consistently demonstrated what it means to be a true champion for the military and veteran community. Their steadfast collaboration…has transformed the lives of countless student veterans.”
Meet Jamie Springston
For U.S. Navy veteran Jamie Springston, the SVA Career Center was instrumental in his transition from military service to civilian life.

After serving as a Hospital Corpsman in combat operations and earning a bachelor’s degree at Marshall University, Jamie utilized the Career Pathways tool to explore future roles that highlighted his skills and interests.
The platform’s job board and mentorship resources helped Jamie secure a position as a civil rights specialist with FEMA. “The career center founded by Disney has been transformative,” he said. “It’s helped me be better prepared to secure a meaningful career following my military service.”

SVA
James especially valued the center’s job board, which provided him with real-time listings and a realistic sense of his options. He describes the career center as the most valuable resource he has encountered to help him navigate his transition from the military to school and to his new career.
Honoring Veterans at Disney
Disney continues to honor the thousands of veterans who work for the company, recognizing their sacrifices and providing support as they transition to the civilian workforce. The company commits to hiring, developing, and continuing to celebrate veterans.

Disney
Disney has hired thousands of veterans since 2012 and contributed over $20 million to nonprofits supporting veterans and military families.
