The Best Ice Cream Spots at Disney World!

Chocolate? Vanilla? One scoop or two? It may be a chilly day, but it is the perfect time to treat yourself—and Walt Disney World is one of the best places to do just that.

From classic sundaes to unique soft-serve flavors, there’s a magical frozen treat waiting just for you.

There are plenty of places to stop by for a sweet and creamy treat, but here are a few of my favorite spots at Walt Disney World.

Salt & Straw

Unique flavors and mouthwatering scoops! Located in the West Side at Disney Springs, this family-run ice cream shop offers taste-provoking ice cream and truly one-of-a-kind flavors.

Salt & Straw features a delicious menu of classic flavors with a twist. Even better, they have a monthly series featuring new flavors and offer vegan options!

Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

Located right on Main Street, U.S.A., in Magic Kingdom, the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is a vintage-inspired ice cream shop with whimsical mint and pink decor and a retro vibe.

Edy’s ice cream takes center stage with classic flavors like Strawberry, Chocolate, and Mint Chocolate Chip. They also offer decadent sundaes, no-sugar-added ice cream, and plant-based options, offering something for everyone.

MickeyBlog Tip: I like to get my ice cream right before the parade, grab a seat, and enjoy the afternoon parade while indulging and watching the floats go by.

BoardWalk Ice Cream

Nestled on Disney’s BoardWalk, this charming spot specializes in creamy ice cream and sundaes to-go. It’s perfect for enjoying outside while people-watching or grabbing for a casual stroll along the waterfront.

The menu includes delightful treats like the Shore-Side Sundae with SNICKERS® and the Strawberry Splash Shortcake, inspired by the fan-favorite Beaches and Cream Soda Shop.

MickeyBlog Tip: Plan your visit in the evening to enjoy your treat while taking in the BoardWalk’s nightly entertainment and street performers.

Aloha Isle

A Disney vacation is not complete with this iconic dessert. Head to Adventureland in Magic Kingdom for a legendary Pineapple Dole Whip. This tangy, refreshing soft-serve is a must-have for first-timers and seasoned Disney fans.

You can enjoy it in a cup, cone, or float!  Other flavors, like coconut and raspberry, are also available, along with unique swirls and seasonal options.

Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop

Located in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs, Ghirardelli offers a decadent array of specialty sundaes, creamy shakes, and rich hot chocolate.

Indulge in specialty treats like the Sea Salt Caramel Hot Cocoa or the World Famous Hot Fudge Sundae, which is made with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and almonds. Customize your ice cream with a variety of sweets and toppings for an extra special dessert.

Beaches and Cream Soda Shop

Some locations are absolute must-dos at Disney World, and this one should be on everyone’s bucket list.

Beaches & Cream, located between Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, is a retro-inspired soda fountain that serves up classic eats and iconic desserts, including the over-the-top Kitchen Sink.

This colossal creation features multiple scoops of ice cream, cookies, brownies, pound cake, and every candy and topping imaginable.

MickeyBlog Tip: Reservations are highly recommended, but there is also a walk-up counter so you can still enjoy the fabulous ice cream.
