The BEST Disney World Breakfasts You HAVE to Try
Here’s a hot take. I usually skip breakfast, especially on vacation.
I prefer sleeping instead of fighting the rush at a subpar hotel lobby breakfast. And unfortunately, Walt Disney World has some of these.
But they also have breakfast gems. While I’m not an early riser, I will get up for select restaurants.
Excelling in either food, theming, or location (sometimes all three), these are my favorite Disney World breakfasts. When dining at these spots, I relish the most important meal of the day.
Let me share these must-book ADRs (Advance Dining Reservations) with you!
Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera (The Riviera Resort)
Let’s start with a heavy hitter. Topolino’s Terrace is the best breakfast on Disney World property.
This restaurant exudes the resort’s European elegance. And the menu is more inventive than a typical breakfast.
Artisanal quiches, steak, avocado-smeared toast, and fluffy Belgian waffles beckon. And every table receives complimentary pastries with hazelnut spread.
Additionally, this meal has characters! Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, and Donald appear in their finest artistic attire for warm hugs.
They visit each party for photos and invite children to join them in parades. So, parents can sip on espresso, while kids have an absolute ball.
A delight for all the senses, Topolino’s Terrace deserves its stellar reputation.
The Crystal Palace (The Magic Kingdom)
This Victorian-inspired restaurant may be made of glass, but it’s kid-friendly and serves the best Magic Kingdom breakfast! Situated at the end of Main Street U.S.A., The Crystal Palace has an idyllic location.
With a view of Cinderella Castle, it’s the best place to start the day. Speaking of, you can technically get ADRs here before the park opens. This means you can get pictures in a practically empty Magic Kingdom!
After snapping that perfect Christmas Card photo, sit down for a scrumptious buffet. The Crystal Palace menu is standard breakfast fare but with elevated quality.
While dining, Winnie the Pooh and friends stop by each table and lead the famous character parades.
Then, when you’re finished, you’ll have a head start in the park. While most guests are filtering through security, you’ll be knocking out attractions in Fantasyland.
With great food, adorable characters, and an amazing location, The Crystal Palace is the trifecta of Disney breakfasts.
‘Ohana (The Polynesian Village Resort)
Speaking of proximity to The Magic Kingdom, you can have breakfast on the monorail line. Hop on over to the Polynesian Village Resort (or Poly), for a breakfast that embodies vacation.
The tropical resort is home to ‘Ohana, a beloved, family-style restaurant. Outfitted in tiki aesthetic, ‘Ohana boasts incredible food.
Today, breakfast is the star. Sit down to enjoy endless servings of breakfast platters, pineapple-coconut bread, and famous pog juice.
Meanwhile, Lilo, Stich, and other Disney friends (donning Hawaiian shirts) roam and delight guests. The atmosphere is pure joy.
Years after opening, this is still a tough ADR to snag. But it is worth the internet stalking.
Like a sipping a frozen drink on the beach, ‘Ohana is everything a vacation meal should be.
Cape May Café (Disney’s Beach Club Resort)
Speaking of vacation-themed meals, Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast is worth writing home about. Located in the nostalgic Beach Club Resort, the Cape May Café is a seaside-themed eatery with an adorable character breakfast.
Settle into an umbrella-surrounded booth and get ready for indulgence. Every meal starts with unlimited caramel buns. And that’s just the beginning.
When you’re ready, a generous breakfast buffet awaits you. Then, like most of my recommendations, characters visit throughout.
For the occasion, Minnie and friends are wearing their favorite beach/pool day outfits. (Let’s be honest. They’re probably on their way to Stormalong Bay.)
For a venue so charming and delicious, it’s surprisingly easy to book. Don’t miss out.
Whispering Canyon Café (Wilderness Lodge)
Unlike the others, this meal doesn’t have characters. But it makes up for it with character.
This unassuming restaurant, Whispering Canyon Café, is in the rustic Wilderness Lodge. And though its appearance is simple, they serve unforgettable breakfasts.
The All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Signature Skillets are the highlight of the menu. You can choose from a variety including a classic breakfast one, a healthier option, and a skillet for meat lovers.
As good as the food is though, guests are coming for the servers.
These servers specialize in silliness with a hint of sarcasm. They good-naturedly tease diners and each other.
Like a great improv comedy show, this meal has great repeat value. The menu is consistent, but the entertainment is always fresh and new.
It’s a hooting, hollering good time!
With all these options, treat yourself to at least one incredible Disney breakfast. Like many things, Disney does it just a little bit better.
