What Will Disney Be Like in June 2025?
A lovable snowman named Olaf sings a delightful song called “In Summer.”
And you’ll feel like Olaf when you spend part of your summer at Walt Disney World.
So, what will Disney be like in June 2025? My answers are “Sunny, crowded, and magical.” Let’s discuss!
Visiting Disney in June
The first thing you should know about June is that Disney attendance patterns have evolved in recent years.
Historically, July was the most crowded time of the year. Lately, June has overtaken July in this regard.
The statement comes with an asterisk, though. This crowd behavior is entirely reliant on the school calendar.
When you visit during the first ten days of June, attendance levels shouldn’t be as high.
The transition occurs from June 11th-20th. Then, the final ten days of the month are exceptionally crowded.
So, you should consider your visit from that perspective.
Do you mind crowds? If so, when’s the earliest you can visit the parks?
I say this because early June isn’t quite the maximum tourist season yet. There’s a window where you can sneak in a trip.
From June 15th through June 30th, you’ll have a lovely time, but it will be more crowded.
Of course, those of you who are parents of school-aged children don’t have much choice here.
What are you going to do, break the hearts of your kids by not visiting Disney? Of course not. You’re not a monster!
Still, I’m a strong proponent of having your bags packed as soon as your kid’s final class lets out.
You’ll get more out of your trip. Plus, your kid will already be in a great mood since school’s out for the summer.
How’s the Weather?
Is the weather warm in Central Florida in June? Obviously, yes. It’s almost always warm in Central Florida.
According to WeatherSpark, the daily high temperature is 89 degrees.
There’s a range here, with the high temperature falling as low as 83 degrees or as high as 94 degrees. Hope for the former.
Thankfully, other than the early afternoon, Walt Disney World temperatures are generally quite reasonable.
The average low temperature is 75 degrees, with a range of 68 to 77 degrees.
So, the weather is quite pleasant more often than not.
You should understand that the parks grow hotter later in the month, though.
As the calendar advances deeper into summer, the temperatures increase.
Central Florida is quite overcast in June, which helps to keep the heat in check.
Not coincidentally, the clouds often lead to rain. It’s about 50/50 whether the parks will experience rain on a given June day.
All these factors lead to better weather than you may expect.
What’s Fun at Disney in June?
Disney promises several new attractions and experiences at the parks this year.
Most notably, Test Track 3.0 will debut at some point. Disney has indicated its arrival in the “late summer.”
However, the company typically offers sneak previews for annual passholders, Disney Vacation Club members,
So, there’s a real chance you can be among the first to experience the futuristic version of Test Track.
Even if that doesn’t happen, you can watch two new shows at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The first is Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After, while the other is The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.
In case you haven’t heard, the Disney Villains show leans heavily into the magic mirror premise, a timeless classic.
Meanwhile, Disney has thrown out its former Little Mermaid show and created an entirely new one.
Also, while Disney has been a bit fuzzy on the timeline, a new Zootopia show may open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom by June.
In addition, tourists can enjoy the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival…for two days.
This festival closes on June 2nd. Ordinarily, I’d tell you not to worry.
Historically, the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival arrives almost immediately after the Flower & Garden Festival.
That wasn’t the case in 2024, though. EPCOT had a six-week gap between festivals.
I presume that’s because CommuniCore Hall & Plaza was opening, but there’s a chance it’s the new festival schedule.
Still, you’ll find several other new attractions like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Country Bear Musical Jamboree to keep you entertained!
What’s Fun in Central Orlando in June?
Let’s start with the big one. Universal Epic Universe will open during the final week of May.
So, you CAN set up a split vacation between Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort in June if that’s your choice.
Based on my experience, a ride-share from Disney to Universal takes about 35 minutes.
You should add a few minutes to that for Epic Universe, where the crowds will be gigantic at first.
Universal even built this to address the problem:
When the municipal government is authorizing new traffic solutions, you know something will be popular.
You should understand that ticket packages for Universal are…odd.
I’d suggest that you speak with a Let’s Adventure Travel agent to understand them better, but it’s still a totally doable joint vacation!
Of course, that’s but one option in Central Florida, an area overflowing with high-quality entertainment.
You can also attend live sports events, including those of professional and collegiate teams, concerts, and conventions.
So, you won’t lack options if you choose to leave the Disney Bubble.
Personally, I almost never do, but I might make an exception for Epic Universe.
Final Thoughts
A Walt Disney World visit will always fulfill you and bring joy to your family.
In 2025, June visits come with a bit more excitement than usual.
At a minimum, two new Disney shows should be open, and it’s possible that as many as four new attractions are available.
Then, we have the Epic Universe split vacation, which is an unprecedented one-time-only opportunity to be among the first to visit the new park.
There’s plenty to consider about a June 2025 visit. To be on the safe side, I’d suggest that you speak with a MickeyTravels agent.
