Blizzard Beach Will Be Closed Again on January 12
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that Walt Disney World has been downright cold over the past week.
With highs in the low 50s and temperatures dipping into the 40s overnight, guests have had to make some changes to their vacation plans.
While 50 probably sounds downright balmy to much of the United States, it has been disappointingly cool for guests hoping to have some fun in the sun on their Disney vacation.
Blizzard Beach Will Be Closed Again on Sunday
The biggest impact that the cold weather has had on guests has been the closure of Blizzard Beach, which remained shuttered throughout the week.
As temperatures finally began to warm up today, the water park reopened. Unfortunately, it seems like it will be short-lived.
A quick look at the Walt Disney World calendar shows Blizzard Beach will be closed on Sunday, January 12, likely due to the cool temperatures in the forecast.
Sunday’s high will be only 65 degrees, which may not be warm enough for the water park to open.
Strangely, however, tomorrow’s high is only supposed to reach 61 degrees, yet Blizzard Beach still shows operating hours. While the water park seems unlikely to open, Disney has not yet announced a closure.
More Cool Temperatures Are on the Horizon
With more cool temperatures forecast early next week, Blizzard Beach could see more closures. So, be prepared!
