The Disney Lorcana North American Championship Will Continue As Scheduled This Weekend
As Southern California continues to be devastated by wildfires, Disney Lorcana has shared an update about the North American Championship that is set to be held at the Disneyland Hotel this weekend.
According to the trading card game, the upcoming event will continue as scheduled.
“We are working closely with the Disneyland Hotel to ensure all local safety regulations are guidelines are being followed, monitored and updated,” Lorcana explained in a statement.

“We ask all attendees to take every precaution for their safety- staying updated on local wildfire developments and following any guidance from local authorities. Any further updates regarding this weekend’s events will be shared on our social media channels.”
The Event Will Be Held Despite the Wildfires
As we explained earlier, Disneyland has not been affected by the California wildfires, and the resort has continued to operate normally. At this time, it does not appear that there is any threat to The Happiest Place on Earth.

Nevertheless, California has been devastated by the blazes. Over the past two days, 120,000 people were ordered to evacuate, 2,000 buildings burned, and five fatalities were reported.
Refunds Will Be Given to Affected Individuals
Due to the circumstances, Lorcana is providing a full refund for North American Championship weekend attendees who have had their plans affected by the fires. To get their refund, affected individuals can email the PPG customer support team at lorcana@ppgeventmanagement.com.
