Snow May Fall on Walt Disney World For the First Time in Nearly 50 Years!
While much of the country contends with freezing temperatures and snow, Central Florida has been fighting its own battle.
If you have been following along here at MickeyBlog, you know that Walt Disney World has been dealing with cold temperatures this week. So cold in fact, that Blizzard Beach has remained closed.
While highs in the mid-50s and lows in the 40s would sound balmy for most of the country, for Central Florida, this is pretty much as cold as it gets.
Could Snow Fall on Walt Disney World?
As the cold front continues, there is even an outside chance that snow could fall on Disney World for the first time in nearly 50 years!
According to AccuWeather meteorologist Michael Doll, Florida may see snow over the next seven days.
“If the blast is intense enough during the second week of January, then it’s possible some people in Florida can see some snowflakes,” he told USA Today.
A Once-in-a-Lifetime Sight
If you have ever visited Disneyland Paris during the winter, you know how magical a Disney Park can be in the snow.
While it still does not seem likely, there is a chance that guests will be able to experience a truly once-in-a-lifetime event should snow fall at Walt Disney World.
For many, exploring Disney’s Animal Kingdom or visiting Galaxy’s Edge in the snow would be a dream come true.
