UPDATE: Blizzard Beach to Remain Closed Through Thursday — When Will the Water Park Reopen?

Earlier this week, we brought you the news that Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park would be closed for a couple of days as temperatures dropped throughout Central Florida.

While Walt Disney World usually provides a respite from the freezing temperatures and snow that plague much of the United States in the winter, Florida sometimes gets cold.

Blizzard Beach will remain closed due to to cold temperatures.

This week, The Most Magical Place on Earth has battled highs in the mid-50s and lows in the 40s!

Blizzard Beach Will Remain Closed Through Thursday

With more cool temperatures on the horizon, Disney announced today that Blizzard Beach will remain closed through at least Thursday.

A quick look at the weather forecast shows that the high on Thursday will be 55 degrees, so it is no surprise that the water park will remain closed.

While the Walt Disney World calendar shows that Blizzard Beach will be open again this weekend, I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

More Cold Temperatures Are on the Horizon

Looking ahead, temperatures warm up on Friday, with a high of 70, only to quickly drop again.

With more highs in the low-60s and high-50s next week, Blizzard Beach could face an extended closure.

So, if you plan on visiting Walt Disney World over the next couple of weeks, make sure you plan ahead! It is going to be chilly out there!
