The Grand Floridian’s Courtyard Pool and Bar Is Closing For Lengthy Refurbishment
While there is never a bad time to stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, guests with bookings early this year should be aware of an upcoming refurbishment.
From January 13 through late February, the Courtyard Pool, spa, and Courtyard Pool Bar will all be closed for routine maintenance on the Courtyard Pool building.
For those unfamiliar with the resort, the Courtyard Pool is a zero-entry leisure pool located behind the Grand Floridian’s main building. The heated pool descends to a maximum depth of 5 feet and features an adjacent whirlpool spa.
As the construction notice notes, the spa will also be available to guests during the refurbishment.
The Beach Pool Will Remain Open
The good news for guests staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is that the Beach Pool will remain open. Overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon, the pool features a water slide, zero-depth entry, and a nearby water play area for kids. For guests looking to have some fun in the sun, the Beach Pool will be the place to be.
With cooler temperatures in the forecast and lower crowds expected, the Courtyard Pool refurbishment came at a relatively ideal time. While guests who stay over the next couple of months may be disappointed, the pool should be back and better than ever before we know it.
