EPCOT Opens Later This Weekend Due to Walt Disney World Marathon
If you are lucky enough to visit Walt Disney World this weekend, you may need to adjust some of your plans.
This weekend is the Walt Disney World Marathon, and the sold-out event will impact some of the park operational hours.

If you are heading to EPCOT, check the times, as this Disney park is opening later than usual.
A Unique Marathon Weekend
This Saturday and Sunday, EPCOT will open its gates at 10 AM to accommodate the marathon schedule.
This annual event draws thousands of participants and spectators to Walt Disney World. As one of the major host locations, Epcot plays a major role in the race course and post-race festivities.

If you’re planning to visit EPCOT this weekend, you may need to slightly adjust your itinerary. Sleep in or explore other areas of Walt Disney World before heading to the park.
It is a great weekend to check out a character breakfast or ease into the day before experiencing the park.
This is an exciting year for runDisney as the 2025 Walt Disney World Marathon will start at 4:30 AM instead of its traditional start time of 5:00 AM.
The course will also start at World Showcase in EPCOT, pass through Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and then head towards Magic Kingdom.
