‘Story Time with Deadpool’ Has Come to an End at Disney California Adventure

To coincide with the release of Deadpool & Wolverine last summer, Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure debuted a new “Story Time with Deadpool” show.

Originally billed as a limited-time experience, the show served as Deadpool’s introduction to the Disney Parks. For many, seeing the foul-mothed anti-hero in The Happiest Place on Earth felt like a fever dream.

Story Time with Deadpool featured the Merc with the Mouth, retelling classic Disney stories with the help of Wolverine. The show proved to be immensely popular, with Deadpool’s quips frequently making waves on social media.

A Holiday Version of the Show Debuted Last November

Despite the fact that the show was initially intended to have a limited run, Story Time with Deadpool continued through the end of December, with a Holiday Special debuting in November.

Now that the holiday season has drawn to a close, it seems Deadpool and Wolverine’s time has finally run up.

The Show Has Now Ended Its Run

Story Time with Deadpool has been removed from the Disneyland Resort calendar, and no showtimes are listed in the Disneyland app. For all intents and purposes, Disneyland has seemingly and quietly closed the show.

With the conclusion of Story Time with Deadpool, it appears that the Merc with the Mouth and Wolverine will no longer make regular appearances in Avengers Campus.

Instead, it would not be surprising for Disneyland to debut characters based on the upcoming Marvel films Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, and The Fantastic Four.

Considering how popular Deadpool and Wolverine were, however, it is probable that we have not seen the last of them.
