Auditions Are Now Open for Disney Destiny Performers

A new audition call has just gone out for the fleet’s newest ship, revealing exciting progress as we head towards that highly-anticipated maiden voyage. Keep reading, and let’s find out what’s new!
Disney Destiny
While it seems like just yesterday our MickeyBloggers were admiring the stunning new Disney Treasure, all eyes are currently steered towards the Disney Destiny — the next ship set to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
While the Destiny’s maiden voyage isn’t scheduled for quite a while yet, us eager passengers are still avidly following updates and more, anticipating the most spectacular ship yet!
From the many details, insights, and previews we’ve received so far from the Destiny, it’s fair to say that the onboard entertainment offerings are certainly proving to be one of the biggest talking points surrounding this ship.
With unique new character-themed bars and lounges and Broadway-style musical performances, there really will be countless exclusive interactions and experiences in-store for guests aboard the Destiny. So, naturally, Disney Cruise Line has quite the task in finding the right performers to fill all these incredible role!
Auditions Now Open!
Over on the Disney Careers site, we’ve noticed that a number of new roles have just opened up, each calling out for performers to work aboard the Disney Destiny.
Wondering what positions are available, and how to apply? Well, read on!
Character Performers
The first role category being advertised is for Character Performers, as in, the look-alikes and actors to “be friends with” all the beloved characters guests will encounter onboard the Destiny.
There’s quite a long list of characters featured in this ad, which includes a look-alike call for characters such as Belle, Cruella, Rapunzel, Moana, Rey, Loki, Black Panther, Bruno, Captain Jack Sparrow, and more.
Mainstage Performers
The second class of auditions calls for Mainstage Dancers and Vocalists, who will star in the ship’s highly-anticipated, Broadway-style nightly stage productions.
This will include Disney Hercules, a brand-new show exclusive to the Disney Destiny, deemed a “fresh and modern take [of the Disney animated classic] tailor-made for a live theater audience.” Roles include Hercules, the Muses, Meg, Pain & Panic — all the favorites from the movie!
Frozen, A Musical Spectacular and Disney Seas the Adventure are the other two shows set to feature on-board, and Disney is looking for all the performers to round out the cast!
