ABC’s ‘2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony’ Delivers Historic Ratings
The 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony drew its biggest audience ever, as this year’s ABC primetime special averaged 4.6 million viewers.
Not only was that number up 49% from the $3.1 million viewers who turned in last year, but it also became the most-watched primetime entertainment program on broadcast television since January 1, 2019.
The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class includes a bevy of musical legends, including Jimmy Buffett, Cher, Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Ozzy Osborne, Kool & the Gang, and Dionne Warwick.

Other featured artists during the presentation included Kenny Chesney, Kelly Clarkson, Roger Daltrey, Lucky Dave, Sammy Hagar, Busta Rhymes, Dr. Dre, Demi Lovato, Dua Lipa, Jelly Roll, and Keith Urban.
The Ceremony Aired Live on Disney+ Last October
The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony originally took place at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 19, 2024. The event originally aired live on Disney+.

Despite the fact that audiences got a chance to watch the festivities live, millions tuned in on New Year’s Day for the primetime celebration. The show was available to stream the next day on Hulu.
ABC Has Become the Premier Network For Live Events
Over the last couple of years, ABC has made a concerted effort to become the premier network for live events. Already home to The Oscars, The CMA Awards, and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, the network secured the rights to the Grammy Awards last year.
