Disneyland Wait Times for January 2025

Before we move forward in this scary world of tomorrow, we should take a quick look back at the ancient history of 2024.
Here are Disney’s average wait times for January 2025.

We cannot discuss January’s wait times yet, as I’m not a fortuneteller like whatshername, the woman with the head in a crystal ball.

However, we cannot evaluate December’s wait times until December ends. So, here we are.
At Disneyland Resort, 2025 promises some amazing experiences as fans celebrate the park’s 70th anniversary.

But 2024 ended on a high note for The Happiest Place on Earth.
Fans flocked to one of the best-received holiday seasons to date, with Haunted Mansion Holiday garnering especially high praise.

Since the attraction had closed for most of 2024, absence made the heart grow fonder among loyal fans.
For the first time ever, Disneyland employed a virtual queue for Haunted Mansion due to the heightened interest.

The crowds remain high even now, as everyone knows that the holiday version of the attraction ends soon.
We’ll get the regular version of Haunted Mansion back on January 18th.
So, fans have rushed to experience Haunted Mansion Holiday one more time.
That’s just one of many reasons the parks have been quite crowded lately.
The other obvious explanation is that people take plenty of vacations in December.
This year’s calendar configuration led to some odd overall park behavior.
The combination of a late Thanksgiving and combined Christmas/Hanukkah Week led to highs and lows.
Park attendance dropped a bit around the first week of December but then spiked during the 12 Days of Christmas and eight nights of Hannukah.

That’s led to some chaotic behavior with this month’s wait times.
About Disneyland Park
Generally, the park behavior was straightforward in December.
You should understand by now that Disneyland Park gains the lion’s share of tourists.
In calendar 2023, Disneyland hosted 17.25 million guests, while Disney California Adventure (DCA) managed ten million.
That’s about 16 out of every 25 guests going to Disneyland, while the other nine head to DCA.

Not coincidentally, Disney just announced multiple expansion projects coming to DCA. It needs the help.
Meanwhile, you’ll rarely notice a day when Disneyland attendance is low.

The park is popular all the time because fans honestly believe it’s The Happiest Place on Earth.
You can imagine how crowded Disneyland Park becomes during the holiday season.

Since the holiday season was a bit truncated this year due to the calendar configuration, the overall monthly wait times shouldn’t be that bad, though.

- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 67 minutes, up 6
- Haunted Mansion Holiday – 66 minutes, down 30
- Indiana Jones Adventure – 58 minutes, up 5
- Space Mountain – 54 minutes, up 2
- Matterhorn Bobsleds – 49 minutes, up 3
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – 46 minutes, up 4
- Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin – 46 minutes, no change
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – 39 minutes, down 2
- Peter Pan’s Flight – 39 minutes, no change
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 38 minutes, down 1
- Pirates of the Caribbean – 35 minutes, up 2
- It’s a Small World – 32 minutes, down 6
- Meet Mickey at House – 32 minutes, up 1
- Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters – 31 minutes, up 2
- Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster – 31 minutes, up 1
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant – 31 minutes, no change

Overall, guests waited in line for an average of 29 minutes in December, just the same as November.
Regarding Haunted Mansion Holiday, the November comparison was for only a few days. That’s why it “dropped” so much.

And here are DCA’s average wait times for last month.

- Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! – 60 minutes, up 5
- Toy Story Midway Mania! – 52 minutes, up 3
- WEBSLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure – 46 minutes, up 4
- Soarin’ around the World – 44 minutes, up 4
- Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue – 41 minutes, up 4
- Goofy’s Sky School – 40 minutes, up 4
- The Incredicoaster – 38 minutes, up 5
- Pixar Pal-A-Round – 32 minutes, up 4
- Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl – 30 minutes, down 1
- The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure – 25 minutes, up 2
- Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind – 23 minutes, up 1
- Mater’s Jingle Jamboree – 19 minutes, no change
- Grizzly River Run – 14 minutes, down 1
- Jumpin’ Jellyfish – 13 minutes, up 2
- Golden Zephyr – 12 minutes, up 3
- Silly Symphony Swings – 12 minutes, up 1
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic – 11 minutes, no change
- Jessie’s Critter Carousel – 8 minutes, no change

Overall, DCA attractions averaged a wait of 31 minutes, which is three minutes more than last time.
So, you can tell from this data how much more the crowds impact the smaller park, DCA, than the one with so many more attractions.
