You’ve Heard of POG Juice…Now Try the BOG Juice at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Looks like it’s time to leave the lattes, the hot cocoas, and the steaming mugs of tea behind, as Disney’s newest drink creation has just arrived with a punch.
It’s bright, it’s fruity, and it’s full of sunshine…it’s BOG Juice — summer in a cup at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
BOG Juice
What is BOG Juice, you ask?
Well first, let’s talk about POG Juice. A long-time favorite of Disney Parks drinkers, this soft blend of passion fruit, orange, and guava is a tropical treat found at select Disney Parks locations. Now, it’s got a cousin!
Meet BOG Juice!
Standing for banana, orange, and guava, this new drink is the latest arrival here at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Of course, we ordered a sip — so let’s check it out!
Costing $5.99 from Chef Mwanga’s Meat Shop (found inside Harambe Market), this drink promises a “refreshing” blend of Minute Maid Passion Fruit Orange Guava Juice (that’s the POG bit), along with shots of Guava Nectar, and Banana. It costs $5.99.
While we ordered the regular version, this drink can also be ordered spiked with a shot of rum, vodka, or tequila, for $17.50.
Sounds good, right?
It was our MickeyBlogger Melissa who tried this on her Animal Kingdom adventures today, and her review sounded nice and positive!
Melissa confirmed this drink was as refreshing as it sounded, and offered a delightfully cool pick-me-up on her busy park day. Yum!
Now, it’s worth saying that, at first, it was just that classic POG flavor that our reporter picked up on in the drink here. Because the juice comes frozen, the banana syrup settled at the bottom and needed a bit more of a mix to shine through.
So, if you’re ordering this one yourself, perhaps give it a stir to make sure you’re getting the full blend!
Overall, though, we’d definitely recommend this cute drink next time you’re over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, especially if you’re already a POG juice fan.
Who knows, maybe we’ll get new variations of this classic drink in the future? What fruits would you like to see twisted into this blend? Let us know in the comments!
