Tortuga Tavern to Reopen at Magic Kingdom on January 1st
For the first time in nearly seven months, Torgua Tavern will soon open at Magic Kingdom and return to serving food!
As a reminder, the often-overlooked Adventureland eatery closed its doors on June 14, 2024, amid rumors that the location would be repurposed for the long-awaited Pirates of the Caribbean lounge.
However, after the Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar was closed for refurbishment, Tortuga Tavern reopened as Tortuga Treasures, a makeshift gift shop that sold Pirates of the Caribbean merchandise. As it turns out, the Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge will be built in the former Pirate League location.

Tortuga Treasures will forever be a strange chapter in Disney World history.
The Tortuga Tavern name returned when the Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar reopened in November. For months, however, the location remained closed and shuttered.
Tortuga Tavern Will Reopen on January 1
As the new year dawns, our long national nightmare has come to an end, and Tortuga Tavern will reopen on January 1.

According to the Walt Disney World website, the restaurant will offer a barbecued pork sandwich, orange chicken strips, hot dogs, and a peanut butter, chocolate hazelnut, and banana sandwich.
You can view the full menu on the restaurant’s website.
With plenty of seating and air conditioning, Tortuga Tavern is a great place to escape, eat, and enjoy a meal.

So, if you plan on visiting Magic Kingdom, stop by and check it out.
