PHOTOS: Disney Wonderful World of Sweets Sign Installed at Downtown Disney
Disneyland announced earlier this year that Marceline’s Confectionery was being reimagined and expanded as part of the overhaul of Downtown Disney.
For years now, Marceline’s Confectionery at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District has been the ultimate stop for guests with a sweet tooth. Whether you like candy, caramel apples, fresh-baked treats, or even sour balls, the store had something for everyone.
In May, however, Marceline’s Confectionery closed with the expectation that the expanded sweet shop would reopen as Disney Wonderful World of Sweets.

While updates on the project have been few and far between in recent months, I am happy to announce that a major milestone has been reached in the construction of Disney Wonderful World of Sweet.
The Latest From Downtown Disney
When we visited Downtown Disney today, we were thrilled to see that the Wonderful World of Sweet entrance sign had been installed!

As you can see, the new sign is vintage Disney and looks like something from Fantasyland. It is classic Disneyland.
Adorable Disney treats also decorate the front of the store.

We still don’t have an opening date for the new confectionery. However, a window cling on the store advertises, “Disney Wonderful World of Sweets is unwrapping soon.”
The Marceline’s Confectionery Continues to Offer Treats
The good news for Disneyland guests is that Marceline’s Confectionery stand has continued to sell candy apples and other treats throughout the refurbishment.

So, if you plan on visiting Downtown Disney, don’t miss the opportunity to get your sugar fix!
As always, be sure sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Disneyland Resort.
