With Harrison Ford Hanging Up His Fedora, Indiana Jones’s Story Continues Through Video Games
While Indiana Jones’s story seemingly came to an end with last year’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the franchise has found new success in a different medium.
The release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle earlier this month has breathed new life into the iconic Lucasfilm franchise. It seems the game finally gave fans that kind of Indy adventure they had been waiting decades for.
Set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indy’s latest adventure follows the famed archaeologist as he attempts to thwart various groups seeking to harness a power connected to the Great Circle, a group of iconic landmarks that form a perfect circle when connected on a map.

Lauded for its storytelling and gameplay, Indian Jones and the Great Circle has been deemed an overwhelming success by both Indy fans and video game players alike.
More Indiana Jones Games May Be On the Way
According to a new report from Windows Central journalist Jez Corden, the success of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has been so overwhelming that Disney is already asking for more Indy games.
“Disney picked up the phone and wants more Indiana Jones,” Corden said on an episode of the Xbox Two podcast.

Corden’s comments seem to mesh with previous statements made by Lucasfilm Games general manager Douglas Reilly, who hinted to Variety that more games could be in the works.
“I think we’re always looking for great stories,” Reilly said. “And the good news is, there’s a lot of space in between the films where we could tell more and more Indiana Jones stories that I think would be super interesting.”
A Path Forward For the Franchise?
With Harrison Ford hanging up his fedora, it remains to be seen what, if any, plans Disney has for new Indy films. For now at least, fans can catch up with their favorite archeologists through video games.
