Island Tower Has Officially Been Added to the Walt Disney World Map
A new chapter in Walt Disney World history is unfolding today as Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows has officially opened.
Located on the sunny shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon, the new resort combines the magic and wonder of Polynesia with the comfort and amenities that the Disney Vacation Club has become famous for.
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that we are currently staying at Island Tower and having the time of our lives!
As the resort welcomes its first guests, I am happy to announce that Island Tower has been added to the official Walt Disney World digital map.
Island Tower Has Been Added to Digital Maps
Guests using the My Disney Experience app can now see Island Tower in all its glory, sitting between Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Island Tower has arrived!
Here is what the map previously looked like.
In addition to adding the resort to the My Disney Experience app, Disney is also handing out physical maps at Island Tower itself.

Guests can pick up a physical map at Island Tower.
While the arrival of Island Tower on the Walt Disney World maps is a minor change, it signifies that the resort has officially arrived!
I could not be more excited!
