Disney Parks has given fans an exclusive weekly peek into the life of baby Bakso, a playful Sumatran tiger cub, and his mom, Sohni, as they prepare for his debut on the Maharajah Jungle Trek.

Here’s what we’ve seen so far on Tiger Tuesday:

Episode 1: A Playful Start

Bakso’s inquisitive and active personality shines through as he explores his surroundings. Milestones include swimming lessons and trying solid food, and Disney’s animal care team ensures Bakso and Sohni thrive.

Episode 2: Baby’s First Check-Up

Bakso had his first neonatal exam, which confirmed he’s a healthy and growing cub. At 8 weeks old and 10 pounds, he charmed the veterinary team with his bright eyes and quick reflexes.

Episode 3: Sensory Playtime

Bakso was introduced to scent enrichment, and he explored lemongrass with curiosity—sniffing, scratching, and even lounging in it. These experiences helped expand his senses and prepare him for his big adventures.

Episode 4: Turning 3 Months Old

Bakso hit a major milestone this week, officially reaching 3 months! Each week brings new discoveries as the cub becomes more independent and adventurous.

Episode 5: Meatball Milestone

Bakso took his first bite of solid food—a meatball! Transitioning to solid food is a major step in his development, mimicking hunting behavior and setting him up for “the big cat habitat.”

Latest Episode: Bakso Takes a Big Step in His Journey

Check out the latest episode below! Baby Bakso continues to hit major milestones and grows more independent. Under the watchful eye of his mom, Sohni, Bakso recently ventured into a new area—the outdoor yard of their backstage habitat. Though his time there was brief, it marked a key moment in his development.

Think of this new space as “pre-school” for cubs—a safe environment where Bakso can continue developing his climbing, jumping, rolling, and exploring skills. These activities help him prepare to join his mom, Sohni, in the Maharajah Jungle Trek habitat next year.

Animal keepers are also preparing to introduce swimming challenges, ensuring Bakso’s growth and confidence continue to develop.
